CDISC

An electronic version of an informed consent form.

Example of e-consent (form) in a sentence

An e-consent form can be useful in studies that are being conducted remotely.

More Info

E-consent is a method of obtaining informed consent through the use of an electronic system instead of a paper consent form.

Participants may sign the form electronically and then they may be able to get a copy emailed to them or download it themselves.

Other info to think about when joining a study

A study may have an e-consent form for you to review before you can enroll.

You could ask if you get a copy of the e-consent form and how you will get that copy. You could also ask if there is a paper version of the consent form for you if you want one.
